Tucson’s new Cat Lounge is the ‘purr-fect’ way to spend your day

Tucson’s newest cafe is going to be the purr-fect place to unwind.

The El Jefe Cat Lounge, named after Southern Arizona’s famous jaguar, is coming to Campbell Avenue later this month!

For $10 an hour, guests will be able to interact and play with a large variety of adoptable cats from the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter and Sanctuary while enjoying pre-packaged snacks and drinks.

The Lounge will also offer weekly events such as yoga, meditation sessions and movie nights for guests to enjoy with its feline residents. All you have to do is make a reservation!

Upon opening, the El Jefe Cat Lounge will house 20 cats that are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and available for adoption by the Hermitage.

Originally popular in Japan, a plethora of cat lounges have opened up all over the world. One of the most recent being Tempe’s La Gattara Cat Lounge.

If you’re like us and can’t wait for the grand opening, sign up for the cafe’s sneak peak meditation class on Saturday, October 26 at 10 a.m. or attend their soft opening on Thursday, October 31!
