Explore the night skies

This Saturday is a great opportunity to tune up your personal telescope, and just explore the night sky. Experts from the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association are hosting the annual Astronomy Festival, from 3-9.

Come to Brandi Fenton Memorial Park to view  the sun, the moon, planets, star clusters, galaxies, nebulae and more. It’s all FREE with plenty of exhibits for kids and adults.

  • 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.    Safe telescope viewing of the Sun 
  • 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.    Interactive Astronomy Exhibits 
  • 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.           Help with personal telescope 
  • 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.    Night Sky Viewing
  • 8 p.m.                           Walk Around The Night Sky Presentation
