Three years ago, local artists and entrepreneurs Barbara Grygutis, Steve Kimble and Jeff Timan founded SculptureTucson, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of promoting professional development for sculptors as well as enhancing Tucson’s cultural landscape through public art projects, community-based workshops and the creation of a sculpture museum park in Tucson. As sculptors themselves, the founders’ common thread is their love of sculpture as well as the belief that unique sculptural works of art help improve public areas and increase cultural engagement and pride in our community. Collectors and art lovers can meet and purchase art directly from local, regional and national sculptors. Moreover, SculptureTucson will be offering a Purchase Award to a participating artist which will allow us to place a sculpture in an outdoor public space for the beautification and enjoyment of our community.
