People from all over the country visit this candy shop looking for sweets from their childhood

The Purple Penguin Candy Emporium has all of your favorite treats.

Tucson is a city ripe with historical buildings, landmarks, memorabilia, and now, candy!

The newly established Purple Penguin Candy Emporium (3392 E 22nd St) is a treasure chest of candy and collectible items spanning more than eight decades. The store’s shelves are full of everything from Vermont Fudge to saltwater taffy to the now discontinued NECO Wafers.

Founded by owner Dino J Volpi in January, the shop has attracted visitors from all over the country looking for their favorite childhood candy. If you don’t see your favorites in stock, don’t worry! The Purple Penguin will order it for you.

Located down the street from the Reid Park Zoo, the shop is hard to miss thanks to the many vibrant collectibles displayed outside the storefront.

AZ Weekend got a special tour of the shop and talked with Dino about his inspiration for the store in the video above.
