Tucsonans will be able to beat the heat this summer thanks to a new water playground in midtown.
Funtasticks Family Fun Park, located near the Tucson Mall, announced the construction of the “Cactus Springs” water playground, set to open by July 4, according to the company.
Funtastick’s website described the playground as, “a multi-level structure featuring colorful water slides and multiple gigantic tipping buckets that dump 1000 gallons of water every 10 minutes.”
The new attraction will also have bubbler jets, water wheels, water curtains and waterfalls.
Since Breakers Water Park announced its closure in March, this aquatic playground will be Tucson’s only water park besides public pools and splash pads.
While the batting cages are being removed to make room for the new water feature, Funtasticks also offers bumper boats, laser tag and miniature golf.
