The Folks from Smashburger shared some great recipes with us.
Smashburger, a fast-casual hamburger restaurant chain, has three locations in Tucson.
The namesake smashing technique—smashing involves fresh, never frozen, hand-packed meatball on a hot seasoned grill—results in a delicious burger that stands alone in taste, texture and juiciness.
Their recipes range from traditional to food-forward, with modern takes for those looking to discover new burger tastes.
They shared a couple recipes with us:
Double BBQ, Bacon, & Cheddar Smashburger
Smash two fresh/never frozen certified ANGUS Beef burgers on a slightly buttered flat grill. After flipping, add BBQ sauce and a slice of cheddar cheese to each burger.
Cook 3 thick slices of Applewood Smoked Bacon and place on top of each burger.
Remove both burgers from the grill when the internal temperature reaches 155 degrees.
Place burgers on a Classic hamburger bun.
Prior to putting the top bun on it, place haystack onions on it fyi…Haystack onions are thinly sliced onion rings.
Black Bean Avocado Club Burger
Smash Black Bean Burger on slightly buttered flat grill. Remove from the grill when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
Cook 3 slices of Applewood Smoked Bacon.
Place Black Bean Burger on a Multigrain Bun.
Top the bun with mayo, lettuce, roma tomatoes, and freshly sliced avocado.
Place the Applewood Smoked Bacon on top of the avocado.
Top with ranch dressing and enjoy.
