Beads of Courage hosts annual Beads,Blues and Beer Festival Feb. 8

The public is invited to the 3rd Annual Beads, Blues and Beer Festival to benefit Beads of Courage, a Tucson-based charitable organization.

The fundraising event supports the mission of Beads of Courage, a nonprofit organization providing arts-in-medicine programs that improve the quality of life of children coping with cancer and other serious illnesses.

The festival will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 from noon to 8 p.m. and will be held at the Beads of Courage headquarters in Tucson’s Metal Arts Village, 3230 N. Dodge Blvd., 85716.

Festival passes are available now at https://www.beadsofcourage.org/2020-beads-blues-and-beer-festival/. There is a $5 donation entry fee at the gate and VIP and Festival Guest Passes are also available for purchase.

Funds raised sustain the Angel Charity Arts-in-Medicine Program, created by Beads of Courage, which brings over 20 hours of weekly art and music services to Diamond Children’s Medical Center in Tucson.  The organization now helps more than 60,000 children annually in eight countries.

The public can expect live music by local bands, craft beers, vendor booths, raffle prizes, make-and-take bead-stringing projects and more. At 6 p.m., an inspiring presentation featuring the 2020 Bead Artist Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on the main stage. The Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association award-winner Buzz Jackson of KiiM FM 99.5 FM will serve as celebrity emcee for the presentation.
