Barnes & Noble will spread some holiday cheer with a reading of the beloved Christmas story, “The Polar Express.” Participating stores host the free storytime event at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7.

The bookstore will also serve complimentary cocoa and a cookie to guests. Families are encouraged to arrive early to pick up your free snack from Barnes & Noble’s in-house cafe before the reading begins.
A free holiday event for families sounds like a good idea. The bookstore also encourages families to wear their favorite cozy pajamas for the event.
“The Polar Express” tells the tale of a young boy who is welcomed aboard a magical train ride to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. Families get a chance to experience the magic along with the story, thanks to this cool event.
If the story is a long time favorite of yours, grab your family for a holiday story time. Or this could be a good chance to expose young ones who haven’t heard this popular tale.
Can’t make the event? Create your own storytime at home.
Find “The Polar Express” at a bookstore near you. It’s also available on Amazon, in paperback for $10.74 or hardcover for $15.79.
