“Silent Skies” at the Art Institute — A mosaic of the world’s endangered birds

Join the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the Art Institute, and Artists for Conservation for “Silent Skies”, an international collaborative super-mural mosaic featuring over 600 endangered species of the birds of the world as recognized on The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species. Connect with the movement, colors and vast diversity captured in “Silent Skies” from May 25 – September 30, 10 a.m. ‒ 4 p.m., Monday ‒ Friday, in the Baldwin Gallery, which is housed in the Art Institute’s Baldwin Education Building at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. The opening reception is Saturday, May 25, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. “Silent Skies” is free with museum admission or membership. Artists for Conservation is an international non-profit that brings together recognized nature and wildlife artists to support conservation and celebrate nature through art. More than 160 Artists for Conservation members from 15 countries participated in this project.
