This FREE concert features the Cochise County All Stars, this Saturday at 5-8PM. Their genre-defying style could easily feature a Hank Williams tune back to back with an obscure Latin rock instrumental followed by a jazz standard.
FESTIVALS, FAIRS AND PARTIES
The flora and fauna of the Sonoran desert in Spring are celebrated in “Desert Blooms”, a selection of 1950’s watercolors by Tucson artist Ted DeGrazia. These colorful and playful paintings of cactus flowers and desert critters will be on display at the Gallery in the Sun from February 1st 2019 through September 4th, 2019.
Turn your fears into fascination at Sharks: Magnificent and Misunderstood. Interactive displays lead you to the IMAX showing of Great White Shark. There’s an additional fee for the movie.
Taking the book as its’ template Ansel Adams: Examples draws upon the Center for Creative Photography’s collection of Adams’ work to realize the premise of “Examples” with original prints and archival materials. Paired with text from the book, written by Adams himself, the exhibition affords viewers and unprecedented opportunity to familiarize themselves with the intricacies of Adams’ work.
The exhibit runs until May 4 on the UA Campus.
